ALICOR congratulates President Boakai; Promises to be a strong development partner

January 24, 2024

Press Release:

Methodist Compound, Sinkor, Monrovia: On behalf of the 65 membership of the Association of Liberia Community Radio, the leadership extends to President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, warmest congratulations on his inauguration as the 26th President of the Republic of Liberia.

Your inauguration comes at a time when there are many challenges facing Liberia. Like ALICOR, many institutions and organizations are grappling with the consequences of the hash economic downturn and will be looking to your leadership in addressing this economic situation, as well as security and environmental challenges.

The association believes your active initiatives will contribute immensely towards promoting an independent media, trust, greater understanding and active cooperation among the people of our beloved country.

The leadership headed by its astute President Hector Z. Mulbah, had over the years and continues to encourage ALICOR’s member radio stations to tailor most of their radio programs towards promoting agriculture, education, good hygiene practice and maintaining peace in the respective communities they serve.

Your Excellency, with our member radio stations located in all 73 electoral districts of Liberia, ALICOR hopes to work with your government to create the necessary awareness on your vision for Liberia’s development, through the ARREST agenda, an acronym representing Agriculture, Roads, Rule of Law, Education, Sanitation, and Tourism.

We are confident that under your able leadership, Liberia will be able to respond effectively to the various challenges both locally and internationally. We look forward to your government considering ALICOR as a strong partner in achieving the ARREST Vision.

Yours sincerely

Kermue B. Dennis

Secretary-General
